  • Project Management. Andrew has run many projects, predominantly in IT but also in other areas. He is results-oriented and always focused on agreed goals. He has worked as a Configuration Strategy Manager and Project Manager of 40 staff, determining organisational strategy and directing technical staff, and has extensive experience of both ITIL and Prince 2.
  • Interim Management. Andrew has run a department of 25 people and a team of 40 people, both on a contract basis. He has worked as a CM Department Manager, directing technical staff on CM, documentation and service-related projects and BAU activity.

In June 2006 Andrew wrote a paper on Change Management & Configuration Management Best Practice and was asked to present on this subject at a university conference.

Andrew is also an experienced programmer, this being his primary focus until 1997, having at various times developed with Delphi, Pascal, Visual Basic, VBA, C, C++ & MFC, Java, JavaScript and Perl and has extensive experience with CORBA distributed object technology (ORBs). He has developed and marketed a number of tools specifically to assist with migrating user data both into and out of CM repositories. Andrew has considerable experience of working in a consultancy or customer-facing role and has substantial business management, contract, accounting and employment law experience, having successfully run his own businesses since 1987, at one time employing and reselling consulting staff. In 2007 he took time out from consulting to form a number of e-commerce websites, now managed by his wife. Andrew also runs occasional workshops for local business owners and at one point also had a weekly business radio show. Through all these businesses, and his membership of the Chamber of Commerce, Andrew has gained substantial first-hand experience of presentation & public-speaking skills, contract and deal negotiation, as well as company law, accounting practices etc.

On a more personal note, Andrew has previously been elected as chairman of his son’s school’s PTA, thus demonstrating the confidence of others in his management, organisational and planning abilities, together with his ability to motivate a close-knit team (vital as PTA members are all unpaid volunteers).

In summary: Andrew is an experienced Interim Manager/Consultant, specialising in Process Improvement, Project, Configuration and Release Management, with a broad base of e-commerce, business, financial and engineering knowledge and experience, as well as excellent interpersonal skills, to support his obvious IT abilities.
